            Original  Ohio Star block                           

           Four  4.5 inch Background fabric and 1 background fabric square at 5.1/4 inch 
            1 accent fabric square at 5.1/4 inch
          2 squares at 5.1/4 inch squares for star legs 
          Centre square 4.5 inch square          

                                              

            

               4 Patch Ohio Star block                         

              4- 4.5 inch background fabric and 1 square at 5.1/4
            1 accent fabric square 5.1/4
            2 squares 5.1/4  inch squares for star legs
            centre square 2.5 inch square x2 different colours

            

            Hourglass Ohio Star Block               

            4- 4.5 inch background fabric and 1 square at 5.1/4
          1 accent fabric square 5.1/4 inch
          2 squares 5.1/4  inch squares for star legs
          Centre block 2 squares at 5. 1/4 inch square  different colours


          Ohio Star Diamond Star Block             

           4- 4.5 inch background fabric and 1 square at 5.1/4
         1 accent fabric square 5.1/4 and 2 squares at 2 7/8 inch

        Centre Block 4.5 inc square 
        Large star points  2  squares 4.7/8 inch
        Small star   1 square 5 .1/4 inch 





     

        Four Patch Spinning Star Unfinished size 12.5
        Background fabric  4 squares 4.5 inch  and one 5.1/4 inch square
        Centre Block four 2.5 inch squares
        Large star points  2  squares 4.7/8 inch
        Small star   1 square 5 .1/4 inch 






       Hour Glass Spinning Star Unfinished size 12.5
        Background fabric  4 squares 4.5 inch  and one 5.1/4 inch square
        Centre Block 
        Large star points  2 square 4.7/8 inch DIFFERNT COLOURS ONE OF EACH
                                         2 4.1/4 inch               USE SAME COLOURS AS ABOVE

            4- 3.5 inch background fabric
            4 -3.5 x 6.5inch rectangle
            8 -3.5 inch squares for star legs
            centre block 6.5 inch square 
          
            Sawtooth variation Star pinwheel block unfinished size 12.5
            4- 3.5 inch background fabric
            4 -3.5x 6.5 inch rectangle
            8 -3.5 inch squares for star legs you need  four each one colour eg.4 colour black 4 colour red
            4 - 3.7/8 inch squares 2 of the same eg. 2 black 2 red 

            Sawtooth variation Star chevron block unfinished size 12.5
            4- 3.5 inch background fabric
            4 -3.5x 6.5 inch rectangle  
            8- 3.5 inch squares for star legs e.g. 2 yellow and 2 blue
            4 -3.7/8 inch squares e.g.  2 blue and 2 yellow
   
            Sawtooth variation Diamond in a square block unfinished size 12.5
            4- 3.5 inch background fabric
            4 -3.5x 6.5 inch rectangle 
            8- 3.5 inch squares for star legs  1 colour or your choice eg. green

Sunset star Quilt

 


Sunset Star Centre Block 




Chose your fabrics from  your fat quarters for y9ur centre block .You will also need to download the star pattern or use your diamond ruler.

See all of your cuts listed below and follow the instructions on the video to help you make the centre block 

Background fabric

Triangle A you need 8 cut 5 1/4 inch strip then sub-cut to 4- 5 1/4 inch squares then sub cut again into triangles

Triangle B you need 8 cut 6 3/4 inch strip then sub cut into 4- 6 3/4 squares then sub-cut again into triangles Fat Quarters cuts for stars

You need the star template Cut 4 strips of 4 1/2 in strip from chosen fat quarter

Use template as shown in the video sub cut 8 2- 15 inch squares cut from point to point from 2 of the same fat quarter or similar print, you then have 4 triangles in total

Hearts Baby Quilt Free Pattern

 


                     Hearts Baby Quilt   35 x 38 Weekend Project




            Fabric Requirements 

            Background Fabric 1 yard I  used grey 

            Scrap squares you need 2.5 x 99 Squares must be contrasting with each other and 

            background fabric.

           Layout your squares in the pattern as instructed below 

           Background sub cuts 

           2.5 x10 inch's  cut 4 of these 

           2.5x  8  cut 4

          2.5 x 6 cut 4

          2.5 x 6.5 cut 2

          2.5 x 9 cut 2

          2.5 x 11 cut 2

          2.5 x 12 cut 2

          Top border 6 inch by the length of the border 

          Bottom border 6inch by the length of the border 

          Use the layout below to help you put the quilt together then trim up the sides and add borders                   and    quilt as perusal.



 

please do note this is just an example to use for the layout the sizes given above is correct
