Fabric Requirements
16-5inch square background fabric, I used white
16-5 inch square I used scraps of red
Make 2 at a time half square triangles you need 32 in total
16 -4 patch square made from 2.5 inch square, I use scraps and background fabric of white you need 32 in total.
Once all the 1/2 square triangles are made trim all the triangle to the same size which is 4 and 1/8.
Use technique as shown in the video to make 2.4 inch a patch for a speedy process.
Lay the blocks out into one of the orientation that you require, see below, or recreate your own.
Sew the blocks together using 1/4inch seams
Make 15 blocks
Press the blocks really flat and trim all to the same size which is 7 and 7/8 or 15/16
For the end borders
Sub cut 2.5 dark fabric by the width of the quilt top I use gold and black metallic fabric
Sub cut 2inch light fabric, I use white , by the width of the quilt top
Cut 11 inch dark fabric by the width of the quilt top.
For your piece end border
Sub cut 4 white 5inch square
Sub cut 6 dark I used red 5 inch square
Sub cut 1.5 inch dark fabric
Sew the piece border together
To make the scrappy pillows select scrappy Christmas fabric, and sew togther into the required size of the front of the pillow that is need see the link below how to make cushion / pillows.
